"REKINDLE IN US THE FIRE OF HIS LOVE"
was the theme of this year's  Atlanta
Catholic Charismatic Renewal conference
held on October 28 and 29th at Corpus
ChristiChurch, Stone Mountain, GA.

Father Anthony Ozele from Brooklyn, New
York but originally from Nigeria was the
main speaker. We were so blessed to have
this great and dynamic preacher/teacher
and author ministered to so many who came
to experience and witness God’s loving
and healing presence.

The conference opened on Friday night with
Father Ozele's 1st talk, "Re-igniting your
Spiritual Passion". This was followed by
a Healing Prayer Service led by Father
Ozele while the Blessed Sacrament was
processed through the aisles by Father
Guyman Noel, ACCR Liaison. Hearts were
touched as the Power of the Holy Spirit
was felt by those gathered at the Healing
Prayer Service.

Saturday morning, Father Ozele started
another inspiring talk on, "LET THE FIRE
FALL". He said that as baptized Christians
we need to pray always to the Holy Spirit
for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit.
Father shared his experience of baptism in
the Holy Spirit and his experience of
yielding to the charismatic gift of
tongues. After making a general prayer to
the Holy Spirit for everyone, he invited
people to go to the different prayer
stations/prayer teams for further prayers.

The atmosphere was inviting and refreshing
as the Holy Spirit was truly present.  The
next talk on Saturday was, "GOD IS NOT
FINISHED WITH YOU YET" aka "THE NAPKIN IS
STILL FOLDED". It was really encouraging
to hear that God continues to work in and
through us in our daily lives individually
and as children of God. We just have to say
"YES" and TRUST HIM knowing God loves us so
much and that all things work together for
good for those who love Him and are called
for His purpose. "He who began a good work
in you will bring it into completion up to
the day of Christ" gives us greater hope
and confidence in God and in His promises.

At 3:00pm, the Mercy Hour, the Chaplet of
Divine Mercy was prayed invoking God's
Mercy for all gathered and for the whole
world.

The conference concluded with the 5:30pm
Vigil Mass with Father Anthony, principal
celebrant assisted by Deacon John McManus
of Corpus Christi Church.  The homily was
"THY KINGDOM COME".

This conference superseded the peoples'
expectations. They went forth from the
Eucharistic celebration eager and
determined to go forth to live their
Christian lives and witness in the
presence and power of the Holy Spirit
with eyes fixed on Jesus in their
spiritual journey. Truly the Lord
has blessed us! We have tasted and
witnessed the ministry of the Holy
Spirit in and through Father Anthony
Ozele that weekend.
